Volunteers

Illuminating the past for a brigher future

Are you passionate about making the past accessible for our future generations?

Do you want to contribute this passion and enthusiasm into actual cultural heritage work that matters?

We enjoy working with people like you and can help you be a part of meaningful work with cultural heritage collections.

We break down projects in chunks and are particularly keen to engage volunteers and enthusiasts who would like to devote their energy to cultural heritage work. We guide you at every step of the way and create a welcoming and friendly environment. We appreciate your enthusiasm!

Some of the tasks you may be involved in:

  • Assist in documenting a collection (compile inventory and/or finding aid)
  • Developing an exhibit (physical or digital)
  • Contributing to a Digital Humanities project
  • Writing a biography or a Wikipedia page
  • Writing a blog based on the research you did
  • Conducting an oral history
  • Transcriptions and crowdsourcing
  • Event planning and execution

Please call or write to us to discuss how you can be involved and make a difference!
