Our vision
Our vision is to illuminate the past for a brighter future as we believe that engagement with cultural heritage enriches humanity by fostering curiosity, understanding, and acceptance of diverse people and cultures.
At HE we are acutely aware that Caribbean cultural heritage is defined by loss due to centuries of colonialism, natural disasters, neglect, and marginalization. Today this loss is compounded by accelerated climate change.
Our mission
Our mission therefore is to facilitate the preservation and accessibility of the tangible and intangible heritage of the Caribbean in partnership with cultural heritage organizations in the region.
We do this by connecting people, institutions, and resources through cultural heritage projects to foster cultural awareness for generations to come.
